Invoice Finance for Security Companies
A manned guarding company usually pays its officers every week, but invoices clients monthly and then waits for them to pay. Invoice finance lets you draw most of each invoice when you raise it, so payroll doesn't have to wait for the client. The client pays as normal, the lender sends you the rest and keeps a fee. Market Invoice compares UK providers, and you can get 3 free quotes through our introduction partner, a UK invoice finance provider.

How it works month to month
At the end of the month you invoice each client for the hours worked and send the invoice to the lender. The lender pays you most of it straight away, rather than when the client pays. When the client pays, the lender releases the rest, less its fees.
Event security works the same way. Lenders may want to see the booking or purchase order before they fund the invoice.
What helps an application
- Steady contracts. Long-running guarding contracts with fixed hours and rates are easy for a lender to understand.
- Strong clients. The lender relies on your clients paying, so their credit matters most.
- Your licences. Have your SIA licensing records ready, and your Approved Contractor Scheme status if you hold it. They show the business is run properly.

These lenders publish some of their terms. None of them says it specialises in security, so this is a starting list, not a ranking.
