Data
UK Invoice Finance Published Service Charges by Provider Type
None of the 5 high street banks we track publishes a service charge; each prices facilities individually. In all, 1 of the 18 direct UK invoice finance lenders we track publish a numeric service charge. This page groups them by provider type and reports only what is published, with the sample size for each group; it does not estimate a figure for providers that do not publish one, and with samples this small it is not a market benchmark.

Methodology
This page groups the same 18 direct invoice finance lenders ranked in the UK Invoice Finance Rate Index by provider type, and computes the low and high of each group's published service charge range. A provider is only included in the numeric low/high figures if its published rate is a clear percentage or percentage range (for example "0.5% to 2.5% service charge"). Providers that quote bespoke, negotiated, or unpublished pricing, or price on a different basis entirely (a flat fee per invoice, a monthly rate on drawn balance, a term-loan APR), are counted and named as excluded rather than assigned an estimated figure.
This is narrower than a discount-margin-over-base-rate spread would be. Our provider dataset records the service charge (the fee element of invoice finance pricing) but does not currently record the separate discount margin charged over the Bank of England base rate on funds drawn, so that specific spread cannot be computed from data we hold without adding a new field and re-verifying it against each provider's own documentation.

“A published range is not the same as what any individual business will actually pay. Advance rate, debtor quality, sector and contract term all move the final price within (and sometimes beyond) the quoted band, and 17 of the 18 providers we track do not publish a figure at all.”
