How to cite MarketInvoice datasets
3 MarketInvoice datasets are deposited on Zenodo with a DOI (each linked in the table below), all under CC BY 4.0: the UK Invoice Finance Rate Index, UK Invoice Finance Lender Criteria Index and UK Late-Payment Index. Each has one version so far. To cite the exact figures you used, cite the DOI below. The live tables on the site have moved on since two of the deposits: 92 values now differ from the deposited files, and every one is listed on this page.

Zenodo metadata retrieved 23 September 2026. "Changed since deposit" is computed when this page is built, by comparing each deposited file with the provider data behind the live tables.
Which identifier to cite
For a fixed, checkable figure, cite the version DOI. The files behind it never change, so a reader can open the same numbers you used. That matters here because the live tables are corrected when a review finds a provider's published terms have changed.
For "the dataset in general", the concept DOI is fine. It resolves to whichever version is newest. Today every dataset has a single version, so both DOIs lead to the same files.
For today's live figures, cite the page and the date you read it, for example: Market Invoice (2026) UK Invoice Finance Rate Index. Available at: https://marketinvoice.co.uk/data/uk-invoice-finance-rate-index/ (accessed DD Month YYYY).
UK Invoice Finance Rate Index
28 providers, snapshot dated 24 July 2026 inside the files. Carries a Bank Rate of 3.75% effective 18 December 2025, as fetched from the Bank of England that day. Open the live page or the Zenodo record.

Changelog
-
Data change
Re-verification against provider sites, Companies House and the FCA register: 14 advance rate and minimum turnover values corrected to each provider's own published figure, across 12 providers. Every change is listed in the differences table on this page.
-
Data change
Novuna Business Finance: fact review against Novuna's own pages and Companies House. Novuna publishes no minimum turnover and no rate card, so those cells now say Not published instead of the earlier figures; setup speed changed to Novuna's stated 24 to 72 hours to funds.
-
Fix
Provider profile links repaired: five providers that were routed to the retired providers directory now link to their own review pages. No provider terms changed.
-
Method
Ranked table limited to direct lenders. Six brokers moved to their own table and adjacent non-ledger products excluded with a note. No term values changed.
-
DOI deposit
Snapshot deposited on Zenodo as record 21536180 (provider terms JSON for 28 providers, plus a rates summary JSON), and the DOI and cite line added to the index page.
-
Published
Rate index page first published on marketinvoice.co.uk. Zenodo records this as the dataset's publication date.
UK Invoice Finance Lender Criteria Index
28 rows, one per provider, each with its own last-reviewed date (the latest is 24 July 2026). The CSV offered on the page is this same file, byte for byte. Open the live page or the Zenodo record.

Changed since the DOI snapshot
No second edition has been published, so Edition 1 is the only version on Zenodo. This is a dated edition rather than a tracker of provider terms, so there is nothing to compare against a live table.
Changelog
-
Fix
Structured data corrected (Dataset place and website types). No figures changed.
-
DOI deposit
Edition 1 deposited on Zenodo as record 20589857, and the DOI added to the index page.
-
Published
Edition 1 (June 2026) published with its CSV. Zenodo records this as the publication date.
How this page is kept honest
The DOI, title, creator, dates, licence and file checksums for each dataset are copied from the Zenodo record, not written from memory. The citations follow the APA and Harvard output that doi.org returns for each DOI, and the BibTeX matches Zenodo's own export.
Two things are worked out every time the site is built. First, the md5 of each deposited file held on this site is recomputed and compared with Zenodo's checksum; at this build, 3 of 3 local copies match. Second, each provider-terms deposit is compared field by field with the provider data behind the live tables, which is where the "changed since" lists come from. The UK Late-Payment Index is a fixed edition with no live table to drift from.
Changelog entries come from the site's version history and its logged review record. Fixes that changed links or structured data but no figures are listed so you can see that nothing in the numbers moved.
Should I cite the DOI or the MarketInvoice page?
Cite the DOI when you need someone else to be able to check exactly the figures you used: the deposited files on Zenodo never change. Cite the page, with the date you accessed it, when you are quoting the current live figures, because the live tables are corrected when a review finds a provider's published terms have changed, so they can differ from the deposit.
What is the difference between the version DOI and the concept DOI?
Zenodo gives each deposit two identifiers. The version DOI points at one fixed set of files. The concept DOI always resolves to the latest version of that dataset. Each MarketInvoice dataset currently has one version on Zenodo, so both resolve to the same files today. If a new version is deposited, the version DOI in your citation will still point at the files you used.
Under what licence can I reuse the data?
All three deposits are released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You can copy, adapt and republish them, including commercially, as long as you credit the creator and link to the source.
